Finding new homes in California should be an easy task, as they seem to be sprouting up everywhere. However, you want to get in a good school district for the little ones, right? In that case, a little research may be necessary ahead of time. Of course, as does any historical state, California has its haunted spots like houses, hotels, and yes, even a few schools. Read on to see what some of the most haunted schools in California are rumored to be. Who knows? You may meet up with one of these haunting spirits wandering the halls one day.

Fallsvale Elementary school is surrounded by a forest that is rumored to be home to “the ghost children.” Dubbed this by the locals, even people versed in the paranormal seem to think that the other-worldly children are connected to an old school that was once on the property. They are often seen and heard by the current schools students, who seem to have no problem with them at all.

Ramona Convent Secondary school is another hot spot for paranormal activity in California. A white nun, a phantom piano player, and a few others reportedly haunt the school. There have also been reports of students swimming in the pool where a student accidently drowned feeling a tugging on their legs as if he is trying to pull them under.

California new homes that are situated in Los Angeles will find some children going to Virgil Middle school. This is reputed to be the home of students who committed suicide in the auditorium dressing room. There are reports of ropes hanging from the rafters and noises such as voices, moans, and other ghostly presences that the students feel on occasion.

Santa Clara University is built on a Native American burial ground and has more than its share of chills and things that go bump in the night. At last count, at least 20 bodies have been found beneath the campus, reputedly giving rise to hauntings and other crazy behavior. A few of the dorms on campus are purported to be haunted, as well as the grounds themselves. Sounds of moaning can be heard coming from the cemetery and long dead priests have been sighted praying in the bell tower.
